At C-MASTERS, we have created a selection of 'must do' courses. After several years of providing training we know which topics and skills are considered complex by students. Most of these topics are covered in the RYA shorebased courses and in practical courses. However, a more intensive training is needed to become a confident skipper.
We all know that safety on board is paramount. Whether it is knowledge on using flares, fire protection, man-over-board situations or just being able to check the proper working of a life jacket, we know the importance but rarely take the time to practice safety measures and procedures. However, in the unlikely event that something does go wrong on board, the crew should be prepared and ready to take rapid action.
This course is a 'must do' for skippers and crew who wish to learn or refresh their understanding of measures, materials and procedures for safety on board at sea.
Course content
Safety on board is available as a two-day course, and as a one-day refresher. The course is designed for all crew members, independent of their experience level or skills, as safety concerns us all. The topics of the course include amongst others:

Supporting courses
We recommend the RYA First Aid and the RYA Sea Survival course (including practicing with inflating and entering a life raft) for all crew members.
