RYA Navigation courses - additional instructions

We like to include digital tools and application in our RYA Essential Navigation, Day Skipper and Yachtmaster theory courses. We would appreciate if you could bring with you a laptop or tablet.

In addition, we use sets of Portland Plotters, dividers, pencil (2B) and erasor for traditional chart work. You may borough our sets during the course, or buy your own set at the ship chandler of Delta Marina.

RYA First Aid course - additional instructions

Please wear comfortable trousers and shirts/sweathers when joining our RYA First Aid course, as your course includes exercises on CPR and the recovery position.

RYA Short Range Certificate course and exam - additional instructions

Please also bring with you:

  • your SRC Exam Application Form (as received from RYA by email)
  • your SRC online knowledge check certificate
  • your ID
  • a recent photo (for on the certificate)

In addition, you may bring your course book or notes, to be used when practicing with our radios before the start of the exam.

Diesel Engine, Winch maintenance and Electronics on Board courses - additional instructions

Our technical boat maintenance courses take place in our workshop, and include working with various equipment such as the diesel engines. Please wear confortable 'old' clothing suitable for working with this equipment.

As it can be a bit chilly in our workshop at times, especially during the winter months, bringing some extra warm clothing is recommended.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you need some advice.

We will do our best to help you.
